We know we know - it's been a while!  But we are back and in the first episode of our new series, we are joined by Dr Marie-Anne Chidiac, an experienced OD consultant, Gestalt practitioner, coach, trainer, psychotherapist and supervisor. 

She is the co-founder of ‘Relational Change’, an organisation that works to develop relational skills in individuals, teams, organisations and communities and is the author of "Relational Organisational Gestalt".

In this episode John and Priya learn about the process of countertransference.  A great episode for coaches who are grappling with moments when our own stuff shows up in front of our clients.  It’s complex and interesting and as always with us, real.

In the second part of a two part episode Priya rejoins Paul and John to debrief on their coaching experience on race and gender issues.  It highlights the need for trust and bravery to really look at our own race and gender issues and why being ’nice’ may be getting in the way.  This is a useful episode for those wanting a peak behind the scenes of what it takes to have deeply personal conversations that change the world.

In this episode we are joined by Coach and fellow OD practitioner, Karen Mack to take a deep dive into the art of listening.  We explore our own barriers to really listening, why listening is the foundation for building relationships and how listening may be one of the most effective tools we have for healing and moving forward from this pandemic and the racial tensions it has brought to the surface.

In this episode Priya and John convene a conversation with Walt Hopkins, writer, teacher and longtime journal keeper to discuss the topic of journaling. This conversation provides several tips and tricks for “how to journal” for those new to this technique. Walt, Priya and John share personal stories about how journaling has supported them throughout their lives.

Questions worth asking here might be “what’s the conversation I’m having with myself right now?”, “what’s the conversation I’m not having with myself right now, what’s that about?”, “which conversations am I stopping myself from having”, “what can’t I say out loud right now, and why?”

This episode we are joined by OD and Gestalt practitioner Maureen Ghirelli to talk about the concept of Multiple Overwhelmings and how breathing into your belly can help.

A great episode for people feeling overwhelmed by life in the pandemic and looking for help to understand what's happening and what they can do to re-anchor themselves.

Welcome back to our regular listeners and a warm welcome to our new ones.  We are back for Season 3 where we will be focussing on creating a time capsule of lives lived during the pandemic, as seen through the eyes of OD practitioners around the globe.

Our focus this season is on sharing questions and tools that can be used by anyone to help process their experience during this time of our lives.  As always the conversations are raw, honest and filled with questions for you to reflect on.

This episode is a short check in followed with our intentions for this season 3, we look forward to being with you through this experience.
