This recording contains discussion of abuses that took place in a clinical trial of MDMA-assisted therapy. The trial was run by MAPS, an organisation founded by Rick Doblin. Stan Grof is Rick Doblin’s spiritual father, and his theories are the core inspiration for the MAPS therapeutic manual.

My call with Wolfson took place in November 2024. In January 2025, I emailed Rick Doblin, Michael Mithoefer, and MAPS about the information Wolfson had given me. Their positions did not change — they maintain they were unaware of any concerns about Yensen and Dryer’s conduct prior to an email from the trial participant. I wrote about this as a series of posts on Medium.

Unrelated to my call, in July 2025, the Medical Board of California filed allegations against Wolfson.
