Webster Groves, MO – A terrifying crash on Interstate 44 on March 18 quickly turned heroic thanks to the swift action of Officer Alex Edgar of the Webster Groves Police Department. Dashcam footage released by the department captures the moment a vehicle erupted in flames with the driver trapped inside.

Officer Edgar ran to the burning car and acted immediately. “Without hesitation, Officer Edgar broke out the sunroof and pulled the driver to safety,” a department spokesperson said.
