- Where do you get the money from to have a positive (or at least break-even) cash flow? You need a deposit of at least 30%. Let’s say I have that 30%. It will take me 10 years to save for the next property.
- What kind of property (house, apartment or other) will yield the best rental income?
- Do you think the number of properties matters compared to the overall investment portfolio? I could have one house in Sydney with a $1 million debt, which will appreciate more than three units incurring the same debt elsewhere in Australia. Given that a house will appreciate more than units and has better tax depreciation, don’t you think the number of properties does not matter in the long run?
