Surah Ibrahim (إبراهيم) is the 14th chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “Abraham” and it consists of 52 verses.
This surah is believed to have been revealed with reference to the battle of badr. v.35-21 discuss story of Prophet Ibrahim with revelation to the well-known du’a asking for the security and prosperity and of Mecca. The surah also discusses being grateful for the gifts Allah, why Prophets were sent to specific communities, and a warning of choosing this life over the Hereafter.
