R.L. Shawver is a husband to his joyful wife Stephanie, and the father of two growing boys. He is a Christian Author who also works in data, computers, and engineering; he has worked for a Fortune 500 company in Oil & Gas and now works for a mid-size Telecom Software company. He has also worked in various entrepreneurial pursuits, his largest and longest working with relational marketing and business development.
He grew up as a middle child in small town southern West Virginia, and now resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He gave his life to Jesus at 15 years old, and has been in a committed relationship with his Heavenly Father since 2007.
"There is a great saying from John Maxwell that says, 'Experience is a great teacher. It’s even better if it’s someone else’s.' My aim is that through my pain and struggle, you can come away with some of the same benefits that I had."
