God took the initiative and reconciled Himself to the human race in order to restore the relationship broken by the sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Yet that relationship cannot be reconciled without humanity choosing to be reconciled. Without repentance from the public sin that causes personal separation, reconciliation will never been realized.
