Another one in an excellent series. They can be read independently but better if taken in the series order. Each is a thrilling story and a wonderful insight into the life of a clergyperson.
Great Read
Excellent, well written as are the others in this series.
Highly recommend. The author obviously researches her subject well and I
love learning new things.
Falls Flat
I thought this book was supposed to be a mystery but I have no clue to where the mystery lies. The book is mediocre and slow moving. It contains some profanity and sex scenes that do not portray the Jewish clergy well. I stopped reading at the 40% mark as the Rabbi was about to enter a strip club. That was enough for me.
Great series
I have read the first 4 books in this series so far and intend to read the fifth. Rabbi Gabby is a smart, loveable character and it has been a joy to follow her through her years as assistant rabbi and then head rabbi. I would recommend these highly. My only problem is in book 4 it seems, there was no editing and the typos and gramatical errors are frequent.
I'm hooked on this series!
I downloaded Book 1 to my Kindle before we left on a vacation. I had never heard of the series or the author before. The premise intrigued me and I was not disappointed. The books hold my interest, are cleverly written and have likable characters. If you want a light enjoyable book to read, this series is definitely one to try.
