Often times education reforms are seen as either saviors or rabble rousers. In this installment of the EPC's Race and Education series, we will discuss the aftermath of the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling. With a mandate to expediate intergration given by the Supreme Court, many states, universities, and school districts in the South use a variety of tactics, including violence, to ensure "segregaton now, segregation tomorrow and segregation forever."
