Rachael Solem learned early on that traditional employment wasn't for her.  She had a couple of entrepreneurial adventures to wet her appetite for business.  She finally found her niche when she and a couple of partners bought the Irving House.  Even though Rachael had never even stayed in a hotel prior to her foray into the hospitality field, she was a quick study and enjoyed the constant activity of owning a busy historic property.
