Who are Rachel Mathews and Carinna Cooper?

Rachel Mathews and Carinna Cooper famously confronted Colchester Council when they were outraged at the open-tap spending on policies that negatively affect us all. What began as local outrage quickly grew into a national movement when their video went viral, inspiring countless others to question and challenge local authority decisions.

They are proud Colchester residents—with Rachel, an international garden designer when she’s not putting councils straight, now also an avid supporter of home education and empowering the next generation through truth and critical thinking. Carinna is a former Chartered Physiotherapist of 25 years, and now a Structural Balance and Functional Movement Specialist. With her holistic approach, she brings calm insight, attention to detail and courage to every discussion. Between them they help to expose how local policies connect to larger global agendas.
