Darrell Scott, father of Rachel Joy Scott, who was the first student killed at Columbine High School joined the Heartland Daily Podcast to discuss that tragic day on April 20, 1999. The discussion continued by discussing Rachel’s legacy and how her story is still impacting students to this day through Rachel’s Challenge, a program that challenges students to show kindness, end prejudices, and to use words that heal, not hurt. Rachel’s Challenge is a program that teaches actions and not words to combat the internal safety issues within our schools.
