Before we can make meaningful progress in terms of pursuing true racial Justice in America, we first need to educate ourselves in the true black history of America. We all need to understand how the atrocities that have been committed from the end of the Civil War to the present day continue to affect black communities and contribute to the condition those communities are in today.
The problems that affect black communities and black people did not manifest in a vacuum. It's time to stop hiding from the fact that these problems are the product of what has been continuously done to them since we first brought them here as property.
