The past few weeks has seen incidents of racism play out at the Curro independent school network. There were allegations of an Indian teacher calling a learner a monkey while in another incident, a teacher called a fellow colleague also a monkey. Some of the incidents took place last year and this year. All the institution did was either suspend or dismiss the perpetrators. But is this good enough to just fire someone accused of racism? Is this institution handling the situation in a proper way? Also can racists be transformed?
