If you ask President Donald Trump, he will say that he is not racist. In fact, he has often claimed to be “the least racist person that you’ve ever encountered.” However, his record presents a much different picture. During his campaign, Trump made numerous explicitly racist and bigoted remarks. He referred to Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists, proposed a ban on all Muslims entering the United States, and suggested that a judge should recuse himself from a case simply because of the judge’s Mexican heritage. Many argue that his reelection campaign was heavily based on themes of racism and the preservation of the white race.
