Naiad /ˈneɪəd/ is the innermost moon of Neptune, named after the water spirits of Greek mythology. Irregular in form and seemingly shaped by no geological processes, it is likely a loose “rubble pile” assembled from fragments of earlier moons.

Naiad is also a multimedia artist from Zurich and part of the sound collective Sonospheres. Naiads practice is focused on the space between knowing and mystery and drawn to the pull of the unfamiliar. In music, Naiad is fascinated by texture and loves a careful curation, aiming to create a space that invites listening and wondering.

These interests converge in soundscapes built from field recordings and self-produced material. In sets, Naiad moves fluidly between dark ambient, bass-heavy music, breakbeat, dubstep, garage and various styles of electro.“
