What do you do when you're a radio host and the power suddenly goes out?

I was faced with this dilemma yesterday. So I decided to grab a hand-held recorder, leave the studio, wander down to the beach, then stroll back via Kaslo's Front Street and simply describe what I was seeing.

If you've never been to our fair village, this is a nice introduction to one of — if not the — loveliest small towns in the country. If you do live here, or are a frequent visitor, it's always nice to be reminded what a great place this is.
