On today's show, host Randy Morse wanders around Kaslo (and down to the beach), checking out buskers on Front Street, the uber-cool new Mexican restaurant, Taqueria Tiburon, and a lovely trio of side-by-side shops selling fresh-cut flowers, wares by local & regional craftspeople, artists and artisans, plus fabulous vintage clothing (Jewel + Joy, and Honeybucket Vintage). He then stumbles upon Craig Tucker. Craig and his wife, Cindy, are opening Fletcher's Chill, 10 minutes south of Kaslo across Highway 31 from the Fletcher's Falls turnout — a great spot to pull over, grab a submarine and a milkshake before wandering down to the spectacular falls & beach! The next morning, he and the dogs stroll down to Kootenay Lake, where they encounter a group of swimmers, a log raft, and some novel ideas on what to do with it.

Ahh, life in Alpine Nirvana.
