Radio Level Five in conversation with Permanent

Listen Later

How can today’s economic logic of speculation in cities be countered to support creative infrastructure and, at the same time, the agency of communities in precarious situations? As an interdisciplinary group and a practice-based research project, Permanent draws upon anti-speculative models to develop a cultural infrastructure in Brussels for permanently affordable artist studio’s, housing, educational and community spaces. Els Silvrants-Barclay and Rob Ritzen talk about how the group came into being, its tools, aims and further steps. More info on www.permanentbrussels.org
