Radio New Cahokia

world. Through the efforts of the station crew and community, a mystery is unraveled that spans decades.

Welcome to Radio New Cahokia, a genre-blending audio drama that bridges the gap between a dystopian future and the present day. Set in the Federation of Watershed Districts in the year 2067, the story unfolds through the broadcasts of WZKP, a community radio station that serves as the beating heart of a society rebuilt after the Great Collapse.

In this world, climate catastrophe, corporate greed, and a mysterious Cetacean Plague have reshaped life as we know it. The survivors have forged a new way of living—decentralized, communal, and deeply connected to the rivers that sustain them. But the past is never far behind, and the echoes of old mistakes threaten to unravel the fragile peace.

The story begins in 2023, at the GlobeTech Annual Shareholders Conference, where a young intern named Frank Watlington stumbles upon a radio signal from the future. This signal, broadcast by WZKP, carries a dire warning—one that could change the course of history. But as Frank soon discovers, the signal is more than just a message; it’s a call to action.

Through a mix of live radio broadcasts, found audio, and immersive soundscapes, Radio New Cahokia explores themes of resilience, community, and the consequences of unchecked technological ambition. It’s a story about the power of storytelling itself—how the voices of the past, present, and future can unite to shape a better world.

Tune in for a tale that’s equal parts hopeful and haunting, where the stakes are nothing less than the survival of humanity and the soul of the planet itself.
