Summertime - when it`s finally here Sweden sometimes seems like a different place.

Light fills the Scandinavian world - in the north, it`s daylight 24 hours a day, and even here in Stockholm there`s only about six hours of darkness during the height of summer.

So today we`re looking at Midsummer, the Swedish celebration always held on a Friday, between the 20th and the 26th of every June. It`s the very highest height of summer; the days are at their longest. It`s the epitome of this short and hastily enjoyed time of year.
