Ragin' Cajuns Softball is off to a 2-0 start to the season as Louisiana picked up victories against Tulsa and Jacksonville State. The Cajuns used a four-run inning to beat Tulsa 6-3 and a dramatic walk-off home run to edge Jacksonville State 8-7 at Lamson Park. UL powered past Tulsa after an early home-run shootout, seizing control with a decisive four-run frame and strong relief pitching. Emily Smith and Haley Hart homered early, while Kennedy Marceaux, Brooke Otto, Madyson Manning and Lilly Knox delivered key RBIs to put the game away. Julianne Tipton closed the door with four scoreless innings in relief. Against Jacksonville State, Louisiana survived multiple lead changes before Knox crushed a two-run walk-off homer in the seventh to cap an 8-7 thriller. Marceaux drove in three runs, Dayzja Williams sparked the offense, and Tipton again locked things down late to secure the win.
