The Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team kept their momentum rolling in Lafayette, battling in the MAC-SBC Challenge and earning a hard-fought 85–80 victory over Central Michigan. De’Vion Lavergne led the way with 19 points, while Karris Bilal and Todd Jones Jr. delivered career-high scoring performances in a comeback effort that lifted Louisiana to its fourth straight win. Meanwhile in women’s basketball, the Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Akron 82–71 on the road in the MAC-SBC Challenge. Louisiana’s freshman tandem of Amijah Price and Imani Daniels led the way by combining for 37 points, and the Cajuns . Softball split their Saturday matchups with North Texas and Jacksonville State. The Cajuns beat the Mean Green 10-5 in game 1 and fell to the Gamecocks in a 9-7 slugfest.
