The basic principle of Rahu's Dasha or Ketu's Dasha is that Rahu and Ketu have nothing of their own, so primarily they will give us the result of the planet with which they are placed. Let's assume that Rahu is sitting with the Sun and the Sun is panchmesh so Rahu will take the energy of the sun and  Rahu will give you pancham result if the sun is in panchmesh lord and the same goes with Ketu.
