The Son of Man Condescended to Us as the God-Man (Matt. 1:18-25; John 3:11-15)
- Jesus came to earth as both fully God and fully man.
- Jesus came to earth as the prophesied Messiah to save His people from their sins.
The Son of Man Came to Sacrifice His Life to Forgive Sinners (Matt. 9:1-8; 20:17-28)
- Jesus came with the authority to forgive our sins.
- Jesus came with the mission to give His life as a ransom for sinners.
The Son of Man Will Come as the Eternal King and Exalted Judge (Dan. 7:9-14; Matt. 25:31-34, 41; Rev. 1:12-18)
- Jesus is the eternal King who will judge the wicked and bring His people into His glory.
- Jesus is the glorious King whose kingdom will never end.
Application: Because Jesus is the Son of Man, we have a God who became like us, a Savior who forgave us, and a King who welcomes us. O come let us adore Him!
