Before the positive test, I was trying to figure out who I was, what my future would look like, and whether the path I had planned for myself was still the right one. ❤️ In this episode of Raising Her Different, I’m sharing my journey through leaving a difficult relationship, navigating health challenges, struggling with nursing school, and learning to consider a different future. Sometimes changing direction doesn’t mean you’ve failed—it means you’re learning what works for you. This is the story of the life I was living before I found out I was going to become a mother.
Pregnancy and birth can bring so much joy, while also carrying grief, loss, and complicated emotions. In this episode, I’m reflecting on what it means to experience heartbreak and happiness at the same time, and how becoming a mother can be beautiful and painful all at once.
Because sometimes, you can be grateful for the life you’re bringing into the world while grieving the parts of your own life that are changing or being left behind.
A little life update! 🍂 In this episode, I’m sharing what I’m grateful for, reflecting on the journey of creating Raising Her Different, and giving you a peek at what’s coming next. From navigating motherhood and personal growth to the conversations we need to have about grief, breaking generational cycles, and the messages we pass on to our daughters, I’m so excited to share what’s ahead. Thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️
Thanksgiving can bring gratitude, but it can also bring up hurt, complicated family relationships, and feelings we don't always know how to talk about. In this special episode of Raising Her Different, I'm reflecting on family estrangement, motherhood, and learning that you can be grateful for what you have while still grieving what you wish was different. ❤️
In this first episode of Raising Her Different, I'm sharing why I started this podcast and what breaking generational cycles means to me. From motherhood and childhood experiences to family relationships, healing, and personal growth, this is an honest introduction to the conversations we're going to have. It's about looking at what shaped us, questioning what we've been taught, and choosing what we want to carry forward. I'm not here because I have it all figured out. I'm here because I believe growth starts with honesty, and raising our children differently starts with being willing to look at ourselves.
