In this episode of Beyond Motherhood, I’m joined by the wonderful Sarah Bane, Anxiety Educator and founder of Yogitales, who is passionate about supporting children and teens with their mental health and supporting their parents along the way.
We dive into:
✨ Sarah’s journey into yoga and why she focuses on young people
✨ The shifts we’re seeing in children’s and teens’ mental health
✨ Signs your child’s anxiety may need extra support ✨ Creative ways to make mindfulness accessible and fun for kids
✨ A simple practice parents can start today to help their child’s emotional wellbeing
This conversation is filled with practical tips and gentle reminders that raising mindful kids doesn’t have to be complicated.
About Sarah:
Sarah's own experience with anxiety as a child motivated her to make changes as an adult and learn how to keep her calm while handling all the many responsibilities of being a parent.
Sarah was inspired by her 200-hour yoga teacher training to help her own children experience less stress and anxiety. With her background as a kids yoga instructor, her interest in the human body, and the knowledge that the breath can create a peaceful environment for the body and the mind, she realised there was more to learn. Sarah studied positive psychology with a focus on wellbeing and emotions with the purpose of encouraging a more practical approach to life engagement and assisting in the growth of young people's minds by teaching them valuable skills.
Her goal is to provide as many children she can with coping techniques & strategies needed to deal with anxiety & stress so that nobody has to struggle.
