Rajat Parr is one of the icons of the American wine world, from his influential role as wine director for Michael Mina to his advocacy for balanced wines with a sense of place. Now, as a wine maker in both California's Santa Rita Hills as well as Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills, he has a new and different appreciation for the challenges winemakers face. We chatted a bit about his various wine projects, his upcoming book, and why you can't make great wine from just ok grapes.
