Here's the weather report script:
Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming in hot - or should I say, cold - with today's forecast for the Raleigh area.
Buckle up, because winter is certainly making its presence known! We're looking at a chilly day with temperatures struggling to climb. Today will be sunny but crisp, with a high near 38 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your hats - the wind chill will make it feel like a brisk 15 degrees. Expect northwest winds blowing between 7 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts up to 28 miles per hour that might just make you reach for an extra layer.
Tonight, we're settling into a mostly clear evening with temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees. Those northwest winds will be light and barely noticeable.
Friday brings a bit of excitement - we've got a 30 percent chance of snow after 4 pm. Clouds will be rolling in, and temperatures will hover around 38 degrees. Saturday is when things get interesting - we're looking at snow and sleet, potentially mixed with freezing rain. Accumulation could be around an inch, so keep those winter driving skills sharp!
The weekend will gradually clear up. Saturday afternoon should see some sunshine, with temperatures climbing to 44 degrees. Sunday and Monday look bright and relatively mild, with sunny skies and highs around 41 to 48 degrees.
We've got a Winter Storm Watch in effect, so stay alert and prepared. Bundle up, check on your neighbors, and don't forget to protect those pipes!
