Weather Report Script for Raleigh, North Carolina
Good morning, weather watchers! Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us today.
We're kicking off Martin Luther King Day with a chilly greeting from Old Man Winter. Expect a sunny day, but don't let that sunshine fool you - temperatures will only climb to around 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Bundle up, because wind chill values will make it feel like a frosty 20 degrees. Northwest winds will be dancing at 8 to 10 miles per hour, with occasional gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
Tonight, we're looking at a crystal clear sky with temperatures plummeting to a bone-chilling 14 degrees. A gentle north wind around 3 to 5 miles per hour will be our only companion.
Tuesday brings a slight twist - there's a 20 percent chance of snow after 1 pm. We'll see partly sunny skies with a high near 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will make it feel like a crisp 10 degrees, so keep those layers handy.
Tuesday night might bring a dusting of snow before 1 am, with temperatures dropping to 19 degrees Fahrenheit. We could see less than half an inch of accumulation, so don't expect a winter wonderland just yet.
Wednesday returns to sunshine with a high of 33 degrees Fahrenheit, and a light north wind.
As we move into Thursday and Friday, we'll see temperatures gradually warming up. By Friday, we might even hit 44 degrees Fahrenheit - almost feels like a heatwave after these cold days!
The weekend looks promising with sunny Saturday reaching near 49 degrees and Sunday peeking up to 54 degrees.
