Good morning, weather watchers! Let's dive into our forecast for the Raleigh area.

Today's looking like a crisp winter day with plenty of sunshine. We're expecting temperatures to climb to a chilly 44 degrees Fahrenheit, but bundle up because the wind chill will make it feel more like 24 degrees. Those gentle northeast winds will be keeping things cool at around 5 miles per hour.

As we roll into tonight, expect those clouds to start playing peek-a-boo, with temperatures dropping down to a brisk 29 degrees. It'll be calm and quiet out there.

Tuesday brings a slight chance of rain or freezing rain in the morning hours. We might see a few droplets before 7 am, with a slim possibility of precipitation continuing until early afternoon. The day will start cloudy but gradually clear up to mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing to a mild 49 degrees.

Christmas Day is looking merry and bright with mostly sunny conditions and temperatures reaching a comfortable 52 degrees.

Looking ahead to the weekend, things are warming up nicely. Saturday will see temperatures climbing to 59 degrees, and Sunday brings a 40 percent chance of rain with temperatures hitting 61 degrees.
