On December 30, protesters gathered in front of the Governor’s Mansion in Albany to express their frustration and anger at the murder of Robert Brooks. Brooks, 43, was an inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility near Utica NY. On December 9, he was beaten and choked to death by nearly a dozen officers who were caught in the act on their own body cameras.
