Two researchers, Hortense Triniac and Katy Walsh, have been awarded the 2025 Ralph L. Sacco Scholarships for Brain Health. Each will receive a $150,000 two-year scholarship to conduct scientific research in brain health. Triniac will focus on the role of liver proteins in reducing stroke risk, while Walsh will investigate mechanisms of cerebral amyloid angiopathy. These scholarships are made possible by a generous bequest from Dr. Ralph L. Sacco, supporting the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association in advancing brain health research. Triniac and Walsh will commence their research projects on July 1, 2025.
