A luxury jewellery store in Double Bay, Sydney's eastern suburbs, was ram raided just before 5am when thieves reversed a stolen Volkswagen into the shopfront. The gang stole high-end items including Van Cleef, Hermès, and Cartier pieces potentially worth tens of thousands of dollars before fleeing in a stolen Audi. Both vehicles used in the heist were reported stolen from nearby Bondi on Tuesday, and police forensics are investigating the scene to determine the number of offenders and total value of stolen goods.
