From the wisdoms of fasting.

  1. It is first and foremost an act of worship to Allah.
  2. It is a cause of attaining taqwa (doing good deeds and abstaining from bad deeds).
  3. It leaves the heart free for the remembrance of Allah.
  4. The fortunate knows the amount of blessings Allah has blessed them with.
  5. It trains in the controlling of the nafs.
  6. It restricts the flow of the Shaytaan in the bloodstream.
  7. It has numerous health benefits.
