President Cyril Ramaphosa has approved salary increases for public office-bearers in South Africa following the annual review process conducted by the Independent Commission for the Remuneration of Public Office-Bearers. These increases apply to the 2025/26 financial year and take effect from 1 April, with the adjustments backdated to the start of the financial year. The approval was formalised through a presidential determination published in the Government Gazette, as required by law. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is in conversation with SAFTU General Secretary- Zwelinzima Vavi and JOASA President, Neelan Karikan.
