Ramaphosa to address South Africans

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation on Monday at 20:00 on developments in response to coronavirus (Covid-19).
The latest popular address, now dubbed family meetings by South Africans, comes as the country receives the first shipment of the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, from the Serum Institute of India.
Ramaphosa’s address on Monday night follows meetings with the National Coronavirus Command Council, the President’s Coordinating Council and his Cabinet.
Many in the business sector have recently pleaded with government to relax some of the level 3 lockdown regulations to allow their struggling businesses to stay afloat.
To date, South Africa has recorded over 1.4-million cases of Covid-19 and 64 164 deaths.
