We begin the episode by discussing my current obsession with succulent plants. I have been working in the backyard and have a lot of plants in there. It’s my new hobby. Eddie has been obsessed with history. He has been reading Frederick Douglass’s biography and playing basketball out in the sun.
The next thing we talk about is the weirdest things we have been watching on TV lately. We have followed the Will Smith and Jada story on TV. We were intrigued by how they handled the situation. In marriage, you can go through a rough patch where you have to distance yourself a little bit especially when married for a long time. It is possible to have individual aspirations and retain your identity in a marriage.
We also talk about the Rachel Hollis and Dave Hollis situation and how many of their followers were upset that they were divorcing. People thought they were real and authentic and built a business giving marriage advice and positioning themselves as an example.
