This is WrestleMania week! The Super Bowl of Professional Wrestling is a 2 day event happening in Dallas, TX April 2-3, 2022. Who will win the Title Unification match this weekend? WWE Champion Brock Lesnar? WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns? Who knows?
Being a pro wrestling fan since I was a kid, I have decided to get my 'wrestling' nerd on and bring to you an episode dedicated to my favorite Mania theme songs of all time! I will also be joined by a very special guest to help me count these songs down: Jonathan Plombon, author of the new book "Tortured Ambition: The Story of Herb Abrams and the UWF". We'll be talking about this book about the rise and fall of Universal Wrestling in addtion to counting down our 5 favorite Mania themes each. And with 38 WrestleManias (as of this year) total, there are plenty to choose from! Did you know the first Mania theme song was an instrumental version of "Easy Lover" by Phil Collins & Phillip Bailey? Did you know that it's NOT making my list? :P
