<p>Rassi Nashalik was raised at an outpost camp near Pangniqtuuq (Pangnirtung). In 1964, when she was 10 years old, Rassi was taken from her family to attend residential school in Pangniqtuuq. She was also institutionalized at the Churchill Vocational Centre in Churchill, Manitoba.</p>
