The penultimate Rathole Radio before the gig on April 24th in Liverpool. Nerves are starting to rise but the main problem I had this week was the loss of hearing in one ear. I did the show with one ear but wasn’t feeling up to a live track I’m afraid. I was pleased to announce that we’ll be joined next time by fellow podcaster and musician Nick Tann though, listen out for that on April 17th. I also played some great tracks of varying styles for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

    • 08:51 – Public Enemy – I (Eye For An Eye Mixx) – License Unknown – Available on Slamjamz as a free download single. This is the C Doc remix of a classic track. I saw PE live in London last year and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, check out this video I took with my phone.
    • 14:22 – PILL – Fearless – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Brazillian electro noise makers. Has an industrial vibe, reminded me of The Prodigy a bit in parts.
      • 20:13 – Allison Crowe – Effortless – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Great Canadian singer songwriter, I really like her. Loads of albums on Jamendo. Well worth a listen.
      • 24:27 – Cedric Share – Airwalker (Original) – CC BY-SA Licensed – French electro producer from Paris.

        • 34:31 – Fit & The Conniptions – Sweet Sister Starlight – CC BY-NC-SA – AKA Wayne Myers a London singer songwriter. I played a track from Bandcamp a little while ago and Wayne very kindly sent me his new CD in the post. The album will be released on May 23rd but you can pre-order the CD now and you get an immediate digital download copy. He’ll join us live on the show May 29th to talk about the new album and all that’s going on. Find out more at conniptions.org
        • 38:22 – Lavinia Jones – Recurring Spirals – CC BY-NC-SA – German artist. A great bit of CC drum and bass I thought, it’s listed on Jamendo as trip hop, sounds more D&B to me.
          • 48:05 – French Collective – Weather Report (by 0xb) – CC BY-SA Licensed – French (unsurprisingly) electro pop outfit. This from a compilation and the artist is 0xb. The collective website seems to be dead now, the track is from 2007, I hope they’re still going.
            • 59:37 – The Damn Choir – Road – License Unknown – From Suffolk & Cool Podcast by Peter Clitheroe, a fellow AMP member.
