We’re back with another Rathole Radio. This week the studio computer died and I was struggling to keep the show on the rails but I managed. I didn’t have any notes so had no clue who the artists were or any information about them. Normal service resumed
00:00 – Fhernando – Ride My Tempo – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – A funky house track from this Mexican DJ. I heard this via Janemdo radio and decided to share it with you all.
06:39 – Bryyn – Giraffe – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – I’ve played some tunes by Swiss-based American artist Bryyn before. He’s a great songwriter and producer.
09:45 – The Wind Whistles – Turtle – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Don’t have much info on this band as their website wouldn’t load at the time of writing. Sounds cool though I’m sure you’ll agree.
14:56 – Panther Solo – Participant! – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – This was sent to me by friend of the show Adrian McEwen and it’s actually by a mutual acquaintance of ours. Check out Paul’s music at the website and grab the album Buff Low Noise, it’s very good.
18:01 – Sean Fournier – King Of The World – CC BY-SA Licensed – Sean is a bit of a legend in the Creative Commons music world. A truly independent artist. His song “Broken Stereo” is one of the most played on Jamendo.
23:54 – Mansur Samba Trio – Santa Teresa – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – A slice of samba in an attempt to make you feel like it’s summer.
28:18 – Amanda Palmer – Ukulele Anthem – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Thanks to listener Cor Ninaber for suggesting this track. Amanda Palmer needs no introduction. Enjoy the song.
39:06 – Chris Merritt – Wire – CC BY-ND Licensed – I don’t know a massive amount about this artist but I did find his blog. I discovered this track via Jamendo radio.
45:51 – 20lb Sounds – Change (live acoustic) – CC BY-NC-SA Licensed – Another live acoustic track from my band 20lb Sounds. This was recorded at our session for Vizea Sound a few weeks back.
53:57 – And So I Watch You From Afar – Search:Party:Animal – All Rights Reserved – A great piece of instrumental metal from these 3 Irish boys. I enjoyed this a lot.
A big thank you to everyone who has sent donations to support the show and everyone who clicked the Flattr button. I couldn’t do this without you!
Please spread the word about the show. Tell 1 friend, it could make a big difference if everyone does it.
Get In Touch: Please send me your thoughts and feedback on the music I play or any other aspect of the show. If you make music or you know people who make music and you think they should be on the show, send me suggestions and demos by all means. I’m always pleased to find new music and share it with people. Most of that is down to you, the wonderful listeners and your wisdom.
Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoyed the show. Thanks also to everyone who turned up in our IRC channel at irc.freenode.net the channel name is #ratholeradio. I don’t expect much to happen there in the weeks between shows, but if people want to hang around and chat you’re more than welcome.
