Be ye not conformed to this world… i.e not just talk, dress, mindsets etc… but quit trying to keep up with the world.

oh hey the world is busy, I need to be busy

the world is buying things they don’t need I will to

the world is looking for cheap pleasures…

the world has to be brash and outspoken

 

 

Rom. 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

 

 

Maybe God is saying don’t be conformed to the world… and the idea behind it is not that we will necessarily be like them BUT… WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US IN TRYING TO BE LIKE THEM.
