Isembold, Gormer and Tengrail search the bodies of the slavers they defeated for some meagre pickings, then continue their journey. They get caught in the rain, and seeing a Gryphon about to attack, seek shelter in a ruined tower. They meet the Roka Orcs that they had been trying to avoid there, and realise that the tower is actually the Gryphon's nest.
