Kaycee has wanted to be a mother since she was a baby herself. She never thought that she would spend the beginning of her motherhood journey, for the most part, as a single mother. Amber Ukena's motherhood journey started when she had difficulty getting pregnant when she decided to go the adoption route. Later, she becomes a single mother, jobless, and deeply in debt which eventually leads to her declaring bankruptcy. During that period in her life, she meets her life partner and rebuilds her life with him and her stepson in it.
