Hello and welcome to Everyday Dungeon Master! Today my guest DM is Sam. In today’s episode we talk about the different rule sets of D&D, including RAW (Rules as Written) vs. ROC (Rule of Cool… but everyone should call it ROC from now on… trying to start something here!). Sam does a great job breaking down these two rule sets and giving us stories and examples on how they are applied and what the pros and cons of each DM rule style.

Today’s monster spotlight takes us on an adventure to way back when, as Sam pulls a monster from the depths of the D&D 2e universe and presents the Doll Golem. This terrifying creature will make you laugh, until you are dead. He also gives us a quick and dirty lesson on how 2e worked as he explains the stat block a bit which was cool for me and I hope you enjoy it as well.
