The Rays (36-21) fell into a tie for third best record in Major League Baseball after Monday night’s 10-9 loss to the Tigers.

Tampa Bay is 21-7 at home (14-2 against the American League). The Rays are 9-0 at the Trop vs. the A.L. East and 5-2 vs. non-divisional A.L. teams so far.

Game two of three with the Detroit Tigers is this evening and Tampa Bay won’t head to Detroit for the road half of the season series until late August. Overall, the Rays are 26-10 against the A-L, 12-4 against non-divisional A.L. opponents, and 14-6 overall against A.L. East.
