Evan Longoria’s number three will be retired today by the team and he takes his place among Wade Boggs (#12), Jackie Robinson (#42), whose number was retired for all teams before the Rays had played their first game, and coach Don Zimmer (#66). Yesterday, he was inducted into the Rays Hall of Fame.
