The Rays are off today, March 27th, the 1st time this season and the first Friday off-day of the schedule. Last year, between games one and 162, the Rays had 23 days off, which includes days off during the All-star break.

Tampa Bay is still in Saint Louis for two more days before continuing a season opening road trip in Milwaukee and following it with the second off day of the year, April 2nd, a Thursday. After that it’s on to Minnesota for three more games before the home opener for the Rays at Tropicana Field against the Chicago Cubs. It will be the first game there for Tampa Bay since the 2024 season before the offseason hurricanes damaged the stadium and made it unplayable for the entirety of the 2025 season.
