The Rays are off today, April 2nd. It’s the 2nd time this season Tampa Bay has been off since the season opener and the first Thursday off-day of the schedule. Last year, between games one and 162, the Rays had 23 days off, which includes days off during the All-star break.

Tampa Bay travels to face Minnesota for the next three games and then begins the first homestand of the 2026 season against the Chicago Cubs on Monday, April 6th. It will be the first home game for the Rays at Tropicana Field since the 2024 season after a year away because of hurricane damage that brought Tampa Bay to Steinbrenner Field for the 2025 home schedule.
